Our story

Since 2016

The Suprema crew together in the dining room, arms in the air

Suprema has been part of Rutherford’s Park Avenue since 2016, beginning as a neighborhood café before growing into a destination for lunch and dinner.

In 2025, Dan and Catherine took over Suprema with a vision to build on its roots while creating something that feels distinctly their own. Suprema had always been one of our favorite restaurants, so the opportunity to take it on and build something together was incredibly meaningful to us. Dan has spent his career in the restaurant industry, and today, we’re building Suprema together as a family and as a business, with a focus on great food, warm hospitality, and a strong sense of community.

Since taking over, we’ve expanded our hours, introduced private parties and catering, and continued to evolve the menu with quality ingredients and rotating specials that keep things fresh and exciting.

Whether you’re joining us for lunch, dinner, a private celebration, or catering an occasion at home, our goal is simple: to serve food we’re proud of and create a place people want to come back to.
